It was around 7pm Sunday night. Jason Garlitch was depressed and upset as he left his house. He jumped on his blue mountain bike and went for a ride, no one has seen him since. Shortly after he departed his house his girlfriend phoned the authorities concerned about his mental state after Jason had left the house. Police say he was last seen riding along he Cannon Valley bicycle trail in Red Wing's Industrial Park area. Safety officials searched around this area till around 10:20 last night and started back on their search around 10:20am this morning.

Missing Man

It sounds like being the girlfriend would be terrifying! This seems like a sad story, I hope the man is okay...
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't say his age, but I am assuming he is pretty young. I know I took relationship problems harder than I should have when I was young too. I wonder why it took them until 10:20am to start searching again?

ReplyDeleteIt's hard to say what what running through everyone's mind, even Jason Garlitch. If being depressed was the state he was in, we can't rule out suicide. We can't rule out that someone else caused him harm. I am really curious to see what happens.

He did attempt suicide using his anger meds, he was depressed because of various issues with his ex (my mom). He's 38 now & doing much better, but I'm still very careful around him as to not set him off again.
