Brooklyn Park firefighters took several hours on Friday to bring a fire under control in a building that contained hazardous chemicals.
A team of hazardous materials experts stood by as firefighters put out the fire. No chemicals leaked nor spilled said Fire Chief Ken Prillaman.
No cause to what started the fire has been determined. No one was injured in the fire at the building on Xylon Ave., which houses a plating operation.

ReplyDeleteIn paragraph two, when you said that "a team of hazardous materials stood by," I wonder if you meant a team of hazardous material "experts" stood by. I also wonder what a plating operation is. It is good that no one was injured, and that those chemicals didn't explode or catch on fire.

I wonder if those chemicals were harmful to the environment and neighboring people. At least they got it under control before they exploded (if they were explosive). Great review!
